Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reviews: Here’s when first reactions drop

As spring approaches, Marvel fans haven’t had a new MCU movie since last Christmas’ Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is only a few weeks away, with major spoilers no doubt well hidden from the trailers. As speculation about some big cameos mounts, news has broken of when the first reviews of Doctor Strange 2 land.

Like Spider-Man: No Way Home, reviews for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness won’t arrive until right after the world premiere.

Collider’s Frosty tweeted: “The first time anyone will see [this] the movie is on Monday, May 2 at night, which is [the] World Premiere. The social embargo is lifted after [the] put on screen Review embargo lifted [on] Tuesday, May 3 at 6:00 a.m. PT. This is due to spoilers…”

That means reviews for Doctor Strange 2 will go live in the UK at 2pm BST on Tuesday 3 May, just two days before the film hits UK cinemas.

In January, Beyond The Trailer’s Grace Randolph tweeted, “The MCU screening was Doctor Strange 2 and I’m hearing very positive feedback from multiple sources! Wanda is STILL a villain and she is NOT diluted! America Chavez is definitely LGBT and they show her parents… I heard that the fight between Wanda and Doctor Strange is [fire and shock emojis]… LOTS of amazing cameos. Oh yeah! The movie is back to normal! [after reshoots]. A cameo is amazing, a fan’s dream come true, I know it will leak, which is [sad]. This is a cameo that NO ONE has reported yet, so I hope everyone will hold back and not screw it up.”

With that cameo, he could very well be referring to the rumor that John Krasinski has been cast as a variant of Reed Richards from Fantastic Four. Reports of this came days after she tweeted this.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits UK cinemas on May 5, 2022.
